{disneyland.}

I feel like such a poo-poo head right now,
but I can't let the depression of not blogging for however many years
keep me from picking it back up.
I felt the a not-so-subtle urge to dust off this old thing while we were enjoying ourselves,
immensely,
 in none other than,
DISNEYLAND.
We have been dreaming of taking our girls on a D-Land trip for a few years but kept putting it off for one reason or another,
but we finally made it happen!
We set the date and booked the trip.
We went with John's sister's family and it was so fun having cousins at Disneyland!

The girls' "first" time on an airplane. They were both babies on their real first airplane rides, so this part was extra exciting for both of them! They did awesome on the plane and were so cute about the whole thing!

After our short flight to California, John's sister that lives in Huntington Beach took us to one of our favorite beaches so we could soak in a little bit of the ocean. She also cooked us a yummy dinner and we got to spend FHE with her cute family. We love the Holbrooks and the hospitality they always show us!

We stayed at the Anaheim Marriot and we loved it! Besides a small issue on our first night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! They had a yummy restaurant with a breakfast buffet and the girls ate free (extra bonus!). They also had a beautiful pool and an awesome jacuzzi that we soaked in nightly.

Our first day was so exciting! Disney does such a wonderful job of making their guests feel welcome with the fun music and yummy smells. We were all so elated to finally be at D-Land as a family. We came prepared with Minnie Mouse Ears we bought secondhand. =)

PRINCESS MAKEOVERS at the BIPPITY BOPPITY BOUTIQUE
This was a highlight of our trip! The girls both got princess makeovers by their fairy godmothers.
They were transformed to real princesses right before our eyes!
Their makeover was complete with hair, make-up, nail polish, and about a gallon of glitter!

Abbey loved her royal treatment and couldn't stop looking at her reflection all day.

Autumn chose a red hairpiece so she could look like Merida from Brave. She was so excited about her big reveal!

TA-DA! We got to spend the day with two princesses! We got comments from complete strangers, all day long, about how cute they looked. They even got random photos taken of them by tourists (we will just say that they were from Asia.).

Loving every minute of our first day!

 PRINCESS BREAKFAST
Another highlight was the princess breakfast at Ariel's Grotto. The food was delicious and the girls got to meet so many princesses! They came right up to our table, signed autographs, talked to the girls, and posed for pictures. This was such a fun experience! I highly recommend it for anyone that has a little girl that loves princesses.

The weather was so beautiful while we were there. It was so nice getting to enjoy breakfast outside in January!
Enjoying the day at California Adventure. Bug's Land is so cute!

Our little Minnie Mouses loving life!

Autumn loves her baby cousin, Lincoln!

We waited FOREVER for the Toy Story ride but it was pretty awesome!

The girls got to meet a lot of characters and loved every ride! Pirates of the Caribbean was their favorite. We rode it four times!

We had so much fun with the Seely family!

Our last day. =(

On our last day, we ate breakfast at the Carnation Cafe. It was really good and had a cute atmosphere.

We got lots of cousin time on our last day. We headed over to Tom Sawyer Island and let the kids just run and play. It was a gorgeous day!

The food at Disneyland is so good! We did a lot of eating which made my pregnant belly very happy!

All packed up, ready to leave. Shelly and Sarah picked us up and we went out for a yummy lunch. We tried to soak up every ounce of sunshine that we could before we had to head back to snowy Utah.

Our trip home went perfect. The girls both fell asleep and we were back in Salt Lake nice and quick. It was nice getting back home to our own beds!

We had the best time at Disneyland. It was sort of our last hurrah with just the four of us. The girls are already asking when we are going back again.
