Birth Plan. Big Step.

Today I am turning in my birth plan. It might not seem like a big thing, but for me, this is huge. This is a big step towards getting the gentle/peaceful/natural birth that I have been preparing for! Because I am delivering at a hospital, they have their "mandatory" policies and procedures and my plan does go against that grain quite a bit. But I have a group of midwives that I really like and trust and I feel strongly that they will support me.

I am so excited to meet my baby. I am so excited to bring her into this world without drugs or unnecessary interventions. My baby deserves this birth, just like my others babies did, but they didn't get. I deserve to have a say over my body, my baby, and my birth experience. Nobody has the right to take that away from me. Not a hospital, not a nurse, not even a doctor.

Here we go....

Springtime Lemonade Stand

I know we all think our own kids are the cutest kids in the whole wide world,
but I must say,
these two little girls are THE cutest.
They went outside today and made their own lemonade stand.
They even came up with their own recipe for some sort of lemonade concoction.
Every time a person or car went by, they would yell, "Lemonade for sale!!"
Abbey even said, "We are going to be rich!"
Grandma and Grandpa Sparrow came by and purchased two glasses.
Then Daddy and Grandpa Wilf got back from the Priesthood session and bought two more.
I think they made about $5!
Not too shabby, girls!
They never stop making their mommy smile.
They bring so much joy to my life and to our family!

We love you, Baby Girl!

32 weeks appointment yesterday.
Time is flying!
I felt so at peace with my appointment yesterday.
I feel like the place I have chosen is going to be beautiful and peaceful for the birth of our baby girl.
I am preparing everyday for what is to come, mostly mentally.
Natural birth is completely new to me and this time I am trusting my body and my baby instead of being told by someone else how to give birth.
It is so empowering and amazing.

Baby is head down and the midwife I had yesterday, Melissa, said she thinks she will be a good size baby, like her big sisters.

She is welcome to stay as long as she wants to.
I am so excited to meet her.
Hold her.
Smell her.
Snuggle her.
Nurse her.
But there is no rush, Baby!
You keep cookin' until you are ready to meet your family that already loves you so much!
